Take Some Advice from Your Grandma: Use These Six Naturally Organic Things, from Nature

Years ago, there weren’t a lot of “manufactured” products on the market, so that people had to use home remedies whenever they had a problem. Even years later, with chemical solutions available, many people still use home remedies because they work best. So why change now, especially if something potentially unsafe is the alternative? Natural products have worked, and they’re usually cheaper than their chemical counterparts, too. In short, it’s not worth the extra money to use chemical products, either.

In days gone by, people used food and products they had around the house to cure pimples, sores, bad breath, ingrown hairs, and a myriad of other health complaints. Many grandmothers, too, believe that chemicals or anything “newfangled” on the market is unnecessary, just like many older people think that computers and technology are best left alone. In short, using natural products for beauty treatments and “home grown” cures are better than any manufactured product you could buy.

Many products can be used for reasons other than the obvious. For example, almonds, rosemary, geranium, teach real, avocado, sunflower, vanilla, lemon, anise, mint, cocoa butter, sweet orange, jaffa and mixed berries are all things your grandmother may have around and that you have, too — and that you can put to use.

You can drink lemon juice every morning to get your digestion going. It is also great to quench your thirst as it is not like other juices and cold drinks that have unnatural preservatives and sugar, etc. Lemon is also good for colds and flu. If you feel a cold coming on, mix some warm lemon juice with honey and drink three times a day.

Tea tree oil may be another of your grandmother’s favorites. When you were small, did she pull out her bottle of oil and put a little bit on the cut you suffered? It’s also great for cuts, abrasions, ingrown hairs, smelly feet, rashes, and acne, not to mention many more uses. Keep tea tree oil on hand and you will be surprised at how often you use it. In fact, it won’t be long before you wonder how you ever got along without it.

Instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money on these air fresheners that are harsh on your sensitive nose, all you have to do to keep your home smelling clean is put fresh rosemary into a vase or basket in each room of the house. It will give off a nice homely, clean, fresh smell that will also be unique as it doesn’t smell like other air fresheners there are. It smells natural.

Bad breath is something many people suffer from, even if they brush their teeth three times a day. Sometime bad breath stems from stomach problems and bad thyroids, and individuals can’t help their bad breath. If you carry mint leaves with you and chew on one when you notice the bad breath come on, then you won’t have any problems. Just remember your leaves wherever you go. Parsley is also good for bad breath if that is easier for you to get your hands on.

If you use natural products, they’ll be more effective and you’ll also feel better using them than you will chemical counterparts. In addition, most natural products don’t have the side effects chemical ones do, so you’ll have no problems and will find them beneficial.
