Fingernail biting is a pathetic problem; very difficult to get rid of. In fact, the very mention of the term reminds me of all the problems and embarrassment my friend had to face as a teenager. It’s weird and actually upsetting. The worst part is that you start biting without even realizing that you are actually doing it and slowly it takes a place in your subconscious mind and resides forever. If not forever, at least till the time you are actually able to get rid of fingernail biting literally.
It takes a lot of guts to actually stop fingernail biting. It is not really easy to give up this habit, although you need not be really aggressive about it. All it needs is patience and only patience.
You could attempt all the alternatives to impede fingernail biting, comprising creams, nasty flavors and polish. They all appear to work originally and have their own benefits and drawbacks simultaneously. Nevertheless, the outcome differs from one person to another. So what will be a possible way to discontinue this practice forever?
Well, a pal of mine has in fact succeeded in eliminating fingernail biting with use of Hypnosis recording. He is just in fear of this technique as it has assisted him in improving from his babyhood habit. I have still not recognized how it worked, nor does my pal know how it treated his age old state, however it did.
For some people, creams might work really well, and so might the polishes available today. But some others might actually need rigorous treatment. If creams seem to be helpful, which it would, money could become a constraint as you would need to but the same on and off. And then you might as well skip days.
In order to avoid fingernail biting, start with some of these healthy tips today for a better life tomorrow:
- Always keep your fingernails clean. - Put a chewing gum into your mouth to alleviate the anxiety of biting. - Always avoid dam surfaces that can lead to fungal infections of nails. - The only way to stop fingernail biting is to observe the habit carefully, and it only the person experiencing the condition who can do that. - As anxiety is the most common cause of fingernail biting, try to cope up with the same using different strategies. If required seek help from an expert.
The best result I achieved when battling with this habit was using program by Alex Malave, which is based on advanced NLP strategies that really eliminate nail biting in a very short time. Nail Biting Anhiliation program contains videos explaining the method, the workbooks and bonus guides to get rid of ANY unwanted habit you want.
Steven Wilson is a former nail biter who could successfully stop fingernail biting habit, after trying many different cures. On his site Steven gives you advice on how to stop biting nails fast and completely.

You pass by a group of friends and hear them talk about psychic things. You pass by a movie house and you see films about psychics. Everyday you encounter the term psychic. If you look for definition of this term in books and dictionaries, what you will get are “pertaining to the human soul or mind”, or “a person who can see outside of natural or scientific knowledge”, sometimes it will give you “a person sensitive to influences or forces of a nonphysical or supernatural nature” but you can rarely, if not at all, see a definition that would describe whether a person have psychic abilities or not. One might ask then, how do you know if you have this special gift?
Every person has the elements of psychic abilities. There are many signs or symptoms of one’s psychic abilities but we do not mind these since they will seem normal on a day to day basis. We sometimes experience what we call “deja vu” or that “first impression” of someone or a place that sends us signs unconsciously.
These psychic ability signs are unrecognizable since they seem to blend into our everyday lives. There is also this misconception that signs of psychic ability must be an earth shattering spiritual event. When truth is, signs of psychic capabilities can come in the smallest packages. To name a few, here are the most 5 basic signs:
1. LUCID DREAMING. In your sleep you see things, may it be persons, figures, names, and even an event. Then these dreams became reality the very next day, or even as soon as you wake up.
2. THE UNINTENTIONAL KNOW IT ALL. Can you simply tell how a situation will turn out? Example, have you ever sat with a family member or friend and as they tell you a story of what’s going on at work or in their relationship; you sit there listening, and you have your “head voice” going on? And that voice silently tells you the outcome of this situation? This is strong sign of Psychic ability especially if it happens often.
3. THE STRESS OF CROWDS OR GROUPS OF PEOPLE. When you go to a shopping mall or concert, or attend any type of get together that is closed in; you just feel so tired even if you didn’t do much. This is a Psychic sign of being an empath. An empath is person who collects and feels the emotions and energies of others.
4. SENSING YOUR SURROUNDINGS. This one is simple yet profound signs of psychic ability. You walk into a room or any place then you can sense the intangible things around. You can sense the depression present, or the tension or maybe even delight. In that place, you just know what transpired. You know what happened there. The knowing may occur even before you arrive.
5. THINK OF… AND APPEAR! Time and again, you have thought of someone or something, and within minutes, hours, or days, this person or object somehow just “pops up”. But this does not mean this happens every single time you think of someone. Coincidence perhaps? It is happens too often, then that is Psychic ability.
These are just a few of the signs of psychic abilities. There many more. Surprising as may seem but having last song syndrome where a particular song stays in your head for so long is sign! Other signs would be having irregular patterns of sleeping and the difficulty of waking up despite to good rest you had for the night. This may be weird but it is real. Out of simple things shall come the great things in life. Same is true with psychic abilities. They come is small and simple things yet if enhanced shall bring tremendous effects. The challenge is for people to recognize them because they can blend to our daily routines and be hard to identify.

pain relief
1 Comment
Are you a toothache sufferer? If you are you know it can be debilitating and depressing. Toothache can cause the sufferer some intense pain and can be very distressing.
What exactly is a toothache? It would seem a simple question. It’s a tooth that hurts. And certainly that’s correct. However that doesn’t accurately describe the intensity of the pain that a sufferer can feel and it doesn’t describe exactly how much a simple pain in the tooth can impact on just about every aspect of your life.
And that simple explanation doesn’t really tell you how something as simple as a tooth that hurts can impact on so many areas of your life.
And it can describe different things. For example there is tooth “sensitivity” that feels pretty much like pain in the teeth. Sensitivity can be caused by a number of factors like excessive wear on the teeth from grinding the teeth at night. Or by recession of the gum that exposes more of the outer layer of the tooth to the effects of hot and cold food particularly.
Some other factors that can cause toothache could be gingivitis that is a recession of the gums resulting from a build up of tartar from inadequate teeth brushing. Or a cracked tooth. Or flu. Or sinus problems.
Poor gum health is a major cause of a wide range of dental problems, including pain. It is the leading cause of tooth loss in the population in the US.
And there are some medical conditions that you would never have thought could cause toothache but can do so. Like Angina.
If you’re a sufferer you ought be aware that some serious medical and dental conditions can cause jaw and tooth pain, and these ought to be diagnosed and treated speedily by a dental or medical professional.
Notwithstanding, it’s quite possible to treat the pain, or even get rid of it, by some simple home remedies for toothache. This won’t eliminate any underlying medical or dental conditions but will certainly leave you feeling much better at the time.
You’d be surprised at how simple, fast and inexpensive some of the simple home remedies for toothache can be.
So if you have a problem with toothache have the problem diagnosed, but remember you don’t need to suffer from the pain unnecessarily. There are answers that will provide fast pain relief for you without the use of painkiller drugs in many cases.
And if you need to perform at your peak you can’t with aching teeth, so you need all the help you can get.
You’ll find out more at my website.

carpal tunnel syndrome
No Comments
Nowadays, carpal tunnel syndrome is so common that many considerate to be at pandemic proportions, largely due to the modern way of life, to which we’ve all become so accustomed. Unfortunately, although there is much that can be done, many people continue to suffer in silence. In fact, many people who have carpal tunnel syndrome don’t even realize they have it, and then there are those who simply don’t feel the condition warrants a visit to the doctor. If the condition is ignored, rather than go away, it will get steadily worse.
If by any chance you have heard of carpal tunnel syndrome before, but you’re unsure as to whether or not you actually suffer from the condition, then is highly recommended that you make an effort to find out more. Essentially, you should make a point often familiarizing yourself with the different carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms. Additionally, you should take time out to learn how this condition can affect employees, and what can be done about it.
Essentially, because so many people tend to use their wrist and finger muscles excessively, it can result in an imbalance, which in turn causes the bones of the wrist to shift, and this causes the carpal tunnel to become increasingly smaller. When this happens, undue pressure is placed on the median nerve which is located inside the tunnel. Several movements such as those we perform when we type, grip something, or squeeze something, all of which are repetitive actions, can result in carpal tunnel syndrome developing.
Essentially, the more pressure which is applied to the nerve inside the carpal tunnel, the more symptoms will be experienced, and the more severe the symptoms will be. While some people may only experience relatively mild pins and needles in their hands and wrists, other people experience complete numbness and severe tingling. Unfortunately, pain is inevitably part of the package, and in severe cases it may result in you loosing the strength in your hands as well as hand coordination.
Over and above the symptoms just mentioned, sufferers will also often experience stiffness and noticeable discomfort when doing certain tasks, which otherwise would not have been a problem. It is also worth noting that the pain is not always restricted to the hands and wrists, in that it can spread up into the forearms, elbows, and even the shoulders.
You can eliminate the symptoms that you are dealing with if you get the right treatment. Often the right exercises for the hands and wrists are able to provide some relief from this problem, although exercises are not the only treatment options available. You may want to look into a good wrist splint for wrists affected by the problem, which can give the wrists a rest and eliminate some of the carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms you have. Other treatment options are available as well, to help you stop this problem from going any further and ruining your life.

Alternative medicine is a broad term that describes a number of types of treatment, cures and relief that are derived from sources other than traditional medicine. The therapies, medical approaches and philosophies that are encompassed in the term alternative medicine are too abundant to be fully discussed in this article.
There are some kinds of alternative medicine which are more widely used and well known than others. These more common forms of alternative medicine have been received by lots of people and is broadly practiced.
Acupuncture
This type of alternative medicine is a type of therapy which is practiced with the assistance of special needles. These specially designed needles are slender and lengthy which make it easier to insert them into the human body. The filiform needles are inserted into specific areas on the human body which are chosen for pain relief or therapy.
This type of alternative medicine therapy originated in China. The Chinese developed a system of meridians from which energy is said to flow. Tapping into these meridians with the use of the acupuncture needles will assist to relieve various conditions and ailments that a person may be experiencing as well as help to relax and even lower weight.
There are lots of different studies relating to acupuncture since this is one of the more accepted forms of alternative medicine but the results are mostly uncertain. There are a some health organizations that do concede the encouraging effects of acupuncture but traditional medicine does not.
Many established medical practitioners claim that while acupuncture may not be useful there is nothing to lose if the patient would really love to experiment with it. The employment of clean and sterile needles in addition to the application of the said practice by responsible and well taught specialist is a must for this type of alternative medicine. Whether it has a placebo effect of real effect on people may depend largely on how amenable the person may be to it.
Chiropractic
This type of alternative medicine involves the treatment of disorders and other conditions by the use of pressure on the musculoskeletal system. In basic terms, the body, through realignment of the bones and pressure on the muscles is intended to recover its balance and be relieved or cured from various conditions and disorders. This alternative medicine type of therapy uses the manipulation of the persons joints, spine and other soft tissues to encompass the broad application of manual therapy. The manipulation and manual therapy is mostly performed by the chiropractor but he can also assign a sequence of drills and related therapies which the patient can execute on his own at home.
This alternative medicine therapy was founded in the late 1800s. The practice enjoys much recognition in large areas of the USA as well as some regions of Asia. Chiropractic medicine is found to be of value in treating back pain and other maladies related to the joints and bones. This form of alternative medicine therapy is recognized by many established medicine doctors as treatment for back pain but in general it is still deemed as therapy and not actually medicine or cure. There is some disagreement regarding the safety of the practice since there are some phony chiropractors who have “accidents”
Naturopathy
Naturopathy is a form of relief or treatment which includes numerous forms of alternative medicine therapies and treatments. The concept of naturopathy is that the body can heal itself lacking the need of conventional medicine through the various types of natural medicine. The use of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, reflexology, botanical medicine, homeopathy, nutrition and even the practice of good sanitation are said to be included in naturopathy. Many individuals have faith in in this ideal and attempt to heal or treat themselves through the utilization of natural forms of alternative medicine.

anxiety and panic attacks
No Comments
Panic attacks are extreme episodes of overwhelming fear that occur suddenly, without warning and without any clear-cut triggering event. If they aren’t treated properly, panic attacks often result in other problems such as depression or social withdrawal. Avoiding these complications is why it’s important to know that help for panic attacks is available.
Although we ultimately have to heal ourselves, it’s often a good idea to get outside help when we’re dealing with an issue with which we have no experience. Most people get better quicker with some instruction from someone with experience dealing with the problem, even if that guidance comes in the form of a book or home study course.
Under normal circumstances, a person will consult a doctor and a psychotherapist to help cure the problem of panic attacks. A doctor’s advice is necessary in order to exclude any undiagnosed physical condition like a heart ailment. Once underlying health problems are ruled out, the doctor will then begin the treatment for the panic attacks.
It’s important to consult with a doctor to know for sure that there is no underlying physical problem, such as a heart condition. Once cardiac and other such problems have been ruled out.
The other part of the treatment for panic attacks is counseling or psychotherapy. Some doctors may counsel you themselves, while other may direct you to a psychotherapist, who will use cognitive behavioral therapy to help you cope and handle your panic attacks.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is built on the principle that emotional problems occur due to a person’s misconstrued views and beliefs. Once the person’s views are changed, his way of seeing things changes, and as a result psychological problems disappear. This same principle is applied to treating panic attacks.
However, I am also very interested in a new method of treatment that has been very successful in helping people overcome anxiety problems completely either on their own or while working together with the doctor or psychotherapist.
You can find a review of this extremely effective program at: Panic Away Review. This program has helped tens of thousands of people may be exactly what you’re looking for. You can also take a look at Panic Attacks Help for more ideas on dealing with panic and anxiety problems.
